2019 STARTS AS BEST FOR WINE IN TUSCANY

Wine and Siena, Siena and Wine. Two words perfectly linked by territory, passion and history. It is maybe superfluous to say that in Siena province we can find some of the most important wines in the world, like Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano and Vernaccia di San Gimignano, in addition to many others in strong growth. In total, 14 DOC (aoc) and 5 DOCG (aocg)!

An area where climatic conditions, soil, the right grapes carefully selected by the best winemakers and, above all, the passion for the beauty of this land of far-sighted producers have created the perfect combination for the creation of great Tuscan wines, in the Gotha of world enology for decades. Not for nothing, the most important Tuscan wine events take place right in Siena.

Now in its fourth edition, Wine & Siena is considered an unmissable kermess both for producers, who have the opportunity to show their wines to a large market of potential customers, and for professionals in the sector, but also for simple wine lovers.

Tasting a delicious Tuscan wine in the stunning location of Palazzo Pubblico, while admiring world-famous Sienese frescos like Buon Governo by Ambrogio Lorenzetti,  is a very rare opportunity. Beauty, history and territory: both in the art and in the wine glass.

26^th and 27^th of January are the days chosen for edition 2019, organized as usual by Merano WineFestival with Confcommercio Siena and Municipality of Siena. The excellences of Italian wine again in Siena, in the unique atmosphere of the places that will host the exhibitors: Rocca Salimbeni, home of Monte dei Paschi, Palazzo Comunale, Grand Hotel Continental Siena, Palazzo del Rettorato, Palazzo Squarcialupi and Palazzo Sansedoni.

As we said, Wine & Siena is just the beginning: February is extremely rich of Tuscan wine events. In this period we can finally try wines that for years aged in cellar, became now wonderful at tasting. It is also the time of Chianti and Chianti Classico previews like Chianti Lovers and Chianti Classico Collection in Florence from 10 to 12 of February and Vernaccia di San Gimignano preview on 10^th-13^th. Also in the south of Siena is a very busy time with  Nobile di Montepulciano preview from 9 to 11 February and Benvenuto Brunello in Montalcino from 15 to 16. Marvelous frenetic days for wine lovers!
