Wild nature and stunning sea: the Maremma grossetana

There is a part of Tuscany that is still out of the more traditional tourist routs: the Maremma Grossetana and its wonderful sea.

A big land which show an environmental variety with dew equals. A wild nature, Mediterranean colored natural parks, small villages rich of history and an awesome deep blue sea.

Coming down from north we find the Follonica bay, a very lively area which propose many activities and entertaining, perfect for travelling with family. The hidden beaches of Cala Violina, Cala Martina and Cala Civetta show a crystal clear sea, softly grazed by the macchia mediterranea, the typical vegetation of this region. Winds paradise in Tuscany is at Marina di Grosseto,

where the sea opens a little bit more, creating the perfect condition to play water sports like surf, windsurf, kitesurf, sail and waterskiing. In this area you will find plenty of nautical and diving centers.

A sea which impress for its colors and for the cleaning of heir sea beds: these regions have been winning for many years the important awards of the Blue Flag, which certificates the respect for the ecosystem.

Anyway, there is not just the seaside:

here we are at Uccellina Natural Park, extended for 10.000 hectares between Principina and Talamone. Into the Park there is the mouth of Ombrone river and hundreds of species of wild fauna and a great variety of Mediterranean plants. There are many routes to do here: you can discover Uccelina walking, riding a bike or an horse, like the real local cowboys (butteri).
